Restaurants & Bars 6

West burbs guy.

I just discovered this board. Wow! Wow! Wow!

I live in Downers Grove. As I've read, I have found many unanswered questions about foraging for tasty consumables in the vast prairies that lie west of Chicago.

I've been to Bistro Nami. It was several months ago, and I did not have a full meal. Crabcakes and sushi, IIRC. Anyplace that has good French and Sushi gets a gold star in my book, and this place does. I do remember that I though that it was too pricey to do more than once in a while.

To the guy driving out to Naperville: Uncle Lou's. Maple & Cass in Westmont (a few miles south of Ogden). They have a sushi bar, good chinese(-American), and then a menu of real Chinese food that you have to force the waitress to allow you to order.

Bishop's chili is next door, but I think it's crap.

I commented on Kabob Kafe, a middle eastern place in Lombard@Main & Roosevelt, in the Gyros thread below. I love that place. I bet their Baba Ganoosh stands up to any in the city. It has spawned 2 competitors within a stone's throw but it is the best of the 3.
