One weird ingredient request: (Alsatian) marc au vipere

On request, I'm doing a dinner party featuring Alsatian food. The guest of honour has decidedly strange and historical tastes and has asked me if this product is available: Essentially, it is marc eau de vie in which a viper or adder is pickled. I've not been able to find any mention of it in anything written in the last 25 years.

Does anyone know if this is even available for sale, is it a local, bouilleur de cru, thing or did the EU ban it?
