Recently had a nice dinner at the Weiland Fish House in downtown Alhambra. It's apparently run by the same folks who run Weiland Brewery in Little Tokyo.
It serves American-style seafood, grilled fish, steamed seafood buckets (mussels, crab legs, shrimp, etc.), fried shrimp, even have Puerto Nuevo style lobster. Entrees mostly in the $13-17 range and hearty portions. Weiland beer available.
I had an albarcore tuna plate w/steamed spinach and mashed potatoes, my friend had the steamed seafood bucket. Probably not a place you drive 30 miles for, but For those in the San Gabriel Valley, it's a pretty solid neighborhood-type restaurant and you definitely get a good value. And for those who haven't been to Main Street in Alhambra, it's a pretty lively scene for a relatively small town.
