We found two very nice food sources this weekend. The Bakery in Elkins Park, across the street from the SEPTA station, makes marvelous bagels -- as good as any I have had recently in New York -- and these delicious long pastry twists with fruit jam. (On the same intersection, Atkins Perk serves good coffee.) And a newcomer to Chinatown, Taste Good Noodles on Race and 10th, was most satisfying. We especially liked their dumplings and the congee. And something I've never had before but now have a strong craving for, fried turnip jelly.
