I just got word that my office will be closed on Veteran's Day (we were supposed to be open that day) - and thought it would be nice to use the unexpected day off to go for a drive somewhere outside D.C. for a nice lunch somewhere I wouldn't normally go. Maybe up toward Frederick, or out toward the Shen Valley. Would be willing to drive up to two hours for a great place. Obviously, it needs to be open for lunch on a weekday. (Not looking for Annapolis suggestions, as my husband works there, so it wouldn't qualify as a mini-getaway.) Any ideas?
