Been reading about this spot down by the River in Petaluma for awhile ...... Chef/owner Stephanie Rastetter used to be the sous chef for Daniel Patterson at Babette in Sonoma when it was getting many accolades. Now she does breakfast and lunch in a comfortable casual setting overlooking the Petaluma River. She is there making sandwiches and assembling plates....... they use a lot of local produce and source nearby. You order at the counter and find a table. I had the muffaletta (half) and salad - lunch special for $7.95 IIRC . The heated sandwich was satisfying but could have used a bit more olive relish for my taste. Generous side salad was a good foil - a leaf or two had seen better days but overall the greens were a nice mix. One of our group had the Eggplant/Provolone Sandwich and was very pleased with her selection. We sat outside and enjoyed the winter sun. There were lots of interesting items on the menu - will warrant a return trip. Some previous posts had mentioned slow service but we didn't notice that ...... folks were friendly and our food came pretty quickly. It wasn't full when we arrived though ..... if you go at peak hours I could see that it might take a bit so be forewarned.
I think they do an occasional dinner - maybe monthly?
