on the House Specialties menu. Some of the dishes from the small Chinese whiteboard are here, but not all of them (the Crispy Boneless Eel with Special Sauce* and the Spinach with Preserved Egg Soup have been added); others are probably from the untranslated Chinese menu (a couple of intestine dishes, a couple tripe dishes, some bitter melon dishes). A few of the more intriguing: Eel with Sour Pickle Soup, Dish of Pork Thigh Meat Lover, Shredded Potato in Vinegar Sauce, Stir Fried Cucumber with Scrambled Egg. I notice the sweet & sour cucumbers are up to $3.50. If you usually call in takeout orders, ask for the new menu.

*I'm assuming this is the same as the "boneless eel" I ordered from the whiteboard: lightly battered, fried chunks of eel atop crisp/crunchy stir-fried onions, in a simple, distinctly sweet dark brown sauce. I liked it. I got it takeout, which was a mistake (tasted good but the texture suffered); also it isn't that great reheated.
