We tried to newly opened Waldy's Wood Oven Pizza and Penne on sixth avenue (27th/28th). The summary: great toppings, bad crust. We tried mararhita, mushroom/onion, and clam. The cheese were nice and smokey, sauce was solid, and clam accompanied by moist breadcrumbs and an interesting ricotta (rather than the usual parmasean). Unfortunately, the crust was dry, hard, and one dimensional, tasting more like a cracker than pizza crust. It's only their first day, so I'm hoping the crust picks up.
