[WA] Parma is back in Aberdeen!

After several years' absence, great northern italian food has returned to Aberdeen. It is cause for celebration!

I just discovered that the Gabelli family has re-opened their restaurant at 116 W. Heron in downtown Aberdeen. In its previous incarnation, it was Parma (named after their hometown in northern Italy, home of the cheese). The new name is Gabelli's.

It has beautiful new decor, but the great menu is largely unchanged: wonderful pastas (particularly the gnochi and rotolo), incredible tiramisu and other deserts. (I can't promise my spelling of these items is accurate, but it does prove that my name isn't Gabelli and I don't have a financial interest in the restaurant!)

For me, it is a 50-minute drive from Olympia, but well worth it. Phone: 360-533-7012.
