Later this month, my family will be visiting Montreal for 3-4 days. It is a first visit for most, and we are excited to try some of the wonderful-sounding restaurants we have read about here and elsewhere. But we have a somewhat large group (8 of us total) with a wide range of ages (from 6 to 80+). If it were juts me and my wife, I'd be trying to get into Joe Beef, Au Pied de Cochon, Toque, etc. -- but I am struggling to get reservations for a group of 8. We are staying in Old Montreal but are happy to travel around the city if there is good food to be found at the end of the trip. The kids (6 and 9) are willing to try new things but are not as adventurous eaters as their parents. Any suggestions for places our group might have more luck, either with or without reservations? (We were thinking, for example, of trying Le Vin Papillon, which doesn't seem to take reservations at the moment.) Any places we shouldn't miss during our visit? Thanks in advance for any guidance or suggestions.
