visiting LA

We're from the SanFrancisco/SanJose area. We've been to the LosAngeles area many times before, but because we had little children, it was all Disneyland,Universal Studio and other kiddy entertainment. We really don't know the area, per se.
Now that they're teenagers, we can do grown-up things.
We're going to visit this Labor day, and staying at the Double Tree in Anaheim, and we have transportation.

What do you recommend we go see and EAT?

Specific questions:
1. I've heard they have an Arabic community with excellent arabic food offering. Where is it, and how to get there?

2. My teenage daughters want to go see "Sunset blvd". As I remember, it's a long highway stretching from East LA thru 90210, passing by UCLA then go west toward Santa Monica. What do they mean by 'Sunset blvd'? It's something they pick up from TV. They think it's a shopping spot.

3. My spouse wants to go and see the part of Hollywood where there are STARS paved on the cement, with the movie actors names on them and body-part imprints too. How do I get there.

4. What's to see in Santa Monica?

Other suggestions are welcome too.
Also, recommendation on things to eat around those areas please.
