My visit to Vancouver and Victoria

Just a synopsis of the places we tried. Many thanks for the suggestions!

In and about Victoria:
Brio was a big dissapointment, bland overpriced pasta, bland overpriced vegetarian tasting menu. Dull.

Some Greek place we ate in Old Town was also bland and boring, and their pita bread was actually hamburger buns, toasted and flattened. For this they charged extra. Peculiar.

Sooke Harbor House is not open for lunch, so we drove on to the Country Kitchen. Delightful. Very tasty curry shrimp. Nice veggie sandwitch. Reasonably priced. A perfect place to stop on a visit to the coastal beaches.

In Vancouver:

Cin Cin was pleasant, the food well prepared.

Naam was friendly and fun.

Sun Sui Wah, or however its spelled, I've lost my notes, was just the WRONG place to take a vegetarian. All those crabs waving goodbye. And, altough they had several vegetarian choices, they were pretty awful.

Rain City Grill was the high point of our visit. Everything we tried was an absolute delight, and the vegetarian selections were inspired.

Thanks again for helping us to have a wonderful time.
