We went there for dinner Saturday. The place has a nice decor but no valet that night and no street parking without a permit for blocks around. I called on the cell phone and was told to park behing the Coffee House on the corner. We were seated at a nice table and were offered our choice of sparkling or still bottled water. We chose tap water but most chose the bottled. They brought the wine list and menu. We noticed that they also do flights. We did a flight of Alernate Reds. Mostly Syrah and Shiraz. Very good choices, all different and all well done. For a started I selected Seared Ahi Tower and with had Califlower Soup. The soup tasted like butter, cream and salt but almost nothing of caiflower. Ahi tower was tasty, I especially liked the Wasabi Cream. Main courses were Chicken and Mashed Pot. for her and Veal Cheeks over green lentils for me. The chicken was decent, properly cooked, and the potatoes had lots of garlic. The Veal Cheeks were melt in your mouth tender and oh so flavorful. The thing that was noticable missing were the lentils. There were maybe 6 in the whole dish. The sauce was so good and the lentils would have been a good way to enjoy more of it. We ordered the Chocolate Brownie with Coconut Iced Cream. One taste of the brownie had almost no chocolate flavor and a cakey texture with a weird oilyness in the mouth (not butter). The iced cream was excellent and we inhaled it, leaving almost all of the brownie. They have only been open less than 2 weeks so things should improve. Parking Valets should start this week (they did not have proper permits). We would go back.
