Short version: beloved aunt passed away. Lots of kitchen stuff. I got quite a bit, and am wondering about this "roaster?" It's 14x9x5 high. I'm assuming aluminum, and it's heavier than it looks. Also got this bakelite handled carving fork. Love it with the "legs" to keep it off of the table linens. It feels very nice in hand.
My aunt never cooked, baked, or entertained. There was so much stuff: chafing dishes, odd bakeware. Even a fish poacher and Pullman loaf pan. What????? Kitchen hoarder, I think. My sisters had no idea what to make of it all. The basic stuff is ending up at the various family camps for extra pots and pans.
So, to get back to the roaster: is that what this is? I've seen French roasters and I'm wondering if this is similar.
My apologies in advance - I have no idea why the pictures appear upside down when they should be rightside up. Annoying, and hope they appear correctly when the post is published.
