Vintage copper recs

Hi, looking at picking up some vintage copper pieces and wondering what to look out for. If the tin is darkened, either entirely or in spots, but you can't see any copper peeking through, and the seller claims "good tin," does that mean you can trust it doesn't need relining? Is there any worry about loose rivets (and is that fixable)? Is it important that rivets are copper rather than steel?

Is it normal to see green oxidation around handle? Most are French, but it's not always clear the maker (does it matter ito of quality or resale?). It seems many come from Villedieu. Trying to get a feel for value and at what point it just makes sense to buy a new pan. Seems like it may be cheaper to buy vintage, but not by that much, still several hundred $ (after shipping, and possible re-tinning) for a nice pan in a decent thickness (2.5mm+). Any tips appreciated. Looking mostly on ebay, but if anyone knows of any other good markets, please lmk.
