Anyone catch this week's (May 5, 2003) issue of the Village Voice? Robert Sietsama does a really nice outer boroughs survey of small and local latin places . . . so many places I haven't had a chance to eat at, and a couple of places which I love . . . anyone have thoughts about his choices? He avoids high-end nuevo latino and all that in favor of taco stands, tamale joints and other steam table specialists. I'm surprised Clinton Restaurant (on Clinton Street and Houston) didn't get written up for their ace cuban sandwich . .
