Noticed a new stand in Farmer's Market today, next to Moishe's. The Village specializes in boerek, of all things -- kind of a Lebanese pizza, it seems. Their slogan is "Handmade fresh-baked brick oven flat bread made for you." You can get breakfast boerek with egg and bacon on top or lunch and dinner boerek with beef, chicken, broccoli and cheese, or fish on top. They have some interesting sides like swiss chard with yogurt, fatoush, eggplant salads and moussaka. An a la carte bourek is $4.95, or $7.25 with two sides. I had just eaten at Banana Leaf so I was too stuffed to check it out.
