Villa Francesca, North End

Well, I thought you couldn't go wrong picking just any restaurant in the North End. This place was just terrible. Waited about 25 min. for my mussels appetizer that was not nearly garlicky enough, but edible. The veal with artichoke hearts, olives and mushrooms in a white garlic and wine dish over linguine had absolutely no taste whatsoever !!!

I didn't realize that this place was such a tourist trap. I usually travel with my Zagat's book, but left it behind. Didn't want something really fancy, so I took a chance. Will never do that again !

What really ticked me off is when I asked for the check, with a still-full plate, the waiter never asked me what was wrong. When he brought the check, he asked me if I wanted the food wrapped and I said that "to tell you the truth, the food had absolutely no taste -- no white wine or garlic taste or anything for that matter." He merely shrugged as I walked out.
