Vietnam-esque sandwiches in Financial District, SF

Melanie Wong | Jun 7, 2002 11:44 PM

I've heard talk of Vietnamese like sandwiches at Happy Donut in the Financial District. While the fillings are the style of banh mi, the bread is heftier and the proportions sized for big American appetites. The chicken is supposed to be the best one @ $3.50 including a bag of chips. You need to ask them to toast the rolls, as not all their customers want this. Anyone tried these?
