I am a vegetarian and will be spending one day in Vancouver with my family of hard-core meat-eaters. We were planning on doing dim sum for lunch, probably at Sun Sui Wah (I am used to having little to nothing to eat at dim sum, so this will be ok). We are trying to decide what to do for dinner. We are considering Phnom Penh, but I am concerned that there will be nothing vegetarian and I would like to eat at least one meal.
Any recommendations that will make both vegetarian-me and my practically carnivorous father happy?
Specifics: Japanese and Indian food are out. No more than $30 a person would be ideal. We are staying near the airport but are willing to drive fairly far if it is worth it, as this will be our only Vancouver experience for at least 5 years.
