Had a couple of fantastic meals at a raw food place here in Reno called Rawr. As I said in my review, the food is so good I even liked the vegan food.
I guess I could ask the chef this question the next time I go in, but look at the black things on the top of this dish.
The best guess of a dining companion is that it is fennel. Tastes better than any fennel I've tasted before. Any other guesses?
