We're planning on heading to Vegas in a couple weeks to celebrate our 2nd anniversary (we honeymooned in Vegas). We'll be driving in Friday afternoon, have tickets for Dennis Leary Sunday night, and Penn & Teller Monday night, and will be leaving Tuesday morning. We're looking for some *really good* food. The quality of the food is more important that the atmosphere or the price, although crappy service is happily avoided.
I have a list of places to try, from various recommendations, and am trying to narrow it down, since we couldn't possibly hit every one of them. While I don't mind spending $100/pp for a good dinner, $500/pp is a bit ridiculous in my mind. We live in the SF Area, so I've been trying to weed out most of the places owned by chefs who have a restaurant locally.
My list includes:
Rosemary, Joel Robechon (Mansion or L'Atelier? has anyone tried both?), Fusia, Eliseevsky, Valentino, Pinot Brasserie, Red8, Verandah, Bouchon, Todds Unique, as well as some places we tried last time, like Red Square, Grand Wok, Stage Deli, Grand Lux, The Steakhouse, etc.
Has anyone tried 'wichcraft @ MGM, which appears to have an interesting menu, or Prime @ Bellagio (I've always wanted to go to one of Jean-Georges restaurants, but am not sure this is the one to go to)?
