Hello, all. We're on our way to visit family and will be taking I-95 all the way to Miami (from NJ). Ultimately, we'll need to stop for a good dinner before we stop for the night. I've figured we'll be ready for dinner by the time we reach Fayetteville, NC on Sunday night, but if anyone thinks of something before this area or up to Florence, SC, that would work for us.
Before I go on, I'd like to thank all who have posted excellent advice on BBQ and country/meat and 3's/buffets near I-95. I honestly wish we could spend more time in and around the area to hit them all! I've spent a good amount of time seeking out all of the above on these boards (I know I need to make sure we stop @ G-Daddy's for good BBQ before we leave GA, for example). And I thought I'd found a "decent" place that would work for us both when it comes to dinner. As the post title notes, I'm the vegan; my husband's the omnivore. After reading through some threads, I figured Fullers BBQ would be a good choice; I could load up on veggies; he could load up on, well, everything. Unfortunately, they close @ 4PM on Sunday, and we won't be in the area until about 8PM.
While I've read that there are some excellent Mexican choices in and around the area, I'm excited to try something different from what we're used to eating in the NY metro area. I'd appreciate any suggestions for local, non-chain choices near I-95 that would work for us both.
Thanks so much in advance!
