We'll be in Vancouver for three days next week, coming from CA. We are staying in the west end and would like to walk as much as possible, but can get in the car if we need to.
Looking for a great meal -main couse under 30- seafood preferably.
We had cold smoked albacore tuna a couple of times in Victoria and fell in love with it. I've asked my fishmonger, but we can't get it here. That was in the fall- is it a seasonal thing? I don't see it on any menus that I've looked at.
Based on what I've read, I think we'll eat at Vij's, especially for the appetisers. At Go Fish sometime. I read a really bad post about Rain city, but it was 4 years old. The guide book says that the early bird dinner is a real bargain. Is that true?
I noticed that Japanese is one of the regional specialties. Besides sushi, what are your favorite dishes and why? We don't care too much for Chinese.
And looking for at least one great breakfast place. And a bakery.
The long term forcast is rain, so we may spend alot of time eating! But hope to hike in N. Van, so if there is anything up there for any meal or snack would like to know about that too.
Really looking forward to some NW regional food!
