Vancouver Report - Had some great chow!

We went to Vancouver for 3 days before a cruise and had a great time. Overall we were extremely happy with our food choices.

We ate at Kingyo our first night and LOVED IT. The food was great, loved the seared mackerel. Also had some delicious noodles with ground pork, cashews and spices. The sashimi was extremely fresh. I think this was our favorite meal of the trip.

We also stoped by Guu with Garlic and I weren't as wowed. The food was OK, but nothing great. The pumpkin croquette was good but had too much mayo sauce. The baked mackerel was OK. I did like the fried chicken wings. I think it just didn't have the amazing freshness and surprises that we found at Kingyo.

We had a wonderful time at the Granville Market. We loved Oyama Sausage Co. Their products are amazing! Also enjoyed the sake makers.

We stopped by Kintaro Ramen for lunch another day. The miso ramen was very very good. Not quite as good as my favorite place in Los Angeles, Santouka, but definately up there.

Lastly, we had a great time at Rodney's Oyster House. We planned to eat a few oysters prior to our dinner at Coast. We had so much fun eating there and the food was so good that we decided to stay. We had delicious steamed clams, clam chowder and oysters. They also had a great beer selection.

We loved Vancouver, only wish we had more time to try more restaurants. I can't wait to go back to try more!
