busybee was behram contractor, a (parsi) journalist who was the king pin of bombays evening paper wars.
his main shtick was a largely unfunny column called round and about, but his greatest gift to the bombayite was his eating out column. for busybee knew the secrets of mohammed ali road, crawford market, marine lines, fort, colaba, tardeo, grant road ... he knew where the lucknowi trained chefs were cooking, he knew where to find the best biryani, he knew where the phenomenal nehari skulked and he understood the whole crazy mish mash of eating out in acity where the original inhabitants (maharastrians) scarcely had a restaurant to their name.
i just stumbled across this collection ... it should give incipent travellers to bombay plenty of ideas, though some of the restaurants he talked about will have now gone. but there's plenty thats still relevant in this archive ... enjoy.
