Valentino's In Yonkers

Wnats some opinions from people who have been ther ein the last 2-3 months. I appreciate if you loved it a year ago, or if it's in your neighborhood, but I want to know from people who have dined there lately.

My girlfriends wants to go and she said for authentic Italian it is on the pricey side, but she said it's great. Probelm is she hasn't been there in almost three years and I've heard they changed chefs in that time. I also heard the owner died and some other famil took over. Lastly, I've heard it's not that great to begin with from people who have been years ago.

Here's my problem. I hate paying a lot for Italian food when I can get as good a meal at a local pizzeria or Pizza & Brew for 1/3 of the money. Sure there's ambience, but I've heard they pack you in like sardines at Valentino's.

If it's worth it, I have no issure whatsoever. I will pay whatever it is for a good meal.

Any thoughts?
