Valentine's Day and asian grocery suggestions

Hi all,

I'm new to the Chicago area and have been feverishly trying to find a nice, romantic place to take my boyfriend on Valentine's Day. He's coming from Boston, so I'd like to take him somewhere interesting, but not necessarily the most trendy place. I've poked around the boards here for suggestions but I think I have a few more limitations, namely:

1) price range -- I'd like to stick around having a tab around $50.00.

2) proximity to the el -- I don't have a car, and we'll be heading to dinner from O'Hare (with his duffel bag in tow. So, someplace close to the train, and not so stuffy that they mind people with duffle bags would be nice.

As for type of cusine, I was thinking Italian, because that seems more affordable. And how about reservations -- am I already too late with the Valentine's dinner crush?

On a totally different note, can anyone suggest a good general Asian grocery store, also near the el? (so I can feed said boyfriend the next day, too?)

This is a great board, with lots of great advice! I'm so glad I found it. Thanks in advance for the help!
