Should I vacuum seal a roast that I won't be cooking until Sunday?

Just bought a boneless prime rib roast, but I won't be cooking it until Sunday. It's currently just wrapped in plastic wrap on a styrofoam tray. Should I vacuum seal it to maintain freshness? Am I better off freezing it and taking it out on Saturday instead?
