Walked in at about 6 pm to find it packed. Was seated at the back and served quickly. Ordered the vegetarian menchanko; my brother got the pork ramen and onigiri combo (umeboshi and kombu).
Veg menchanko was great - fabulous broth, delicate tofu chunks, fresh veg, al dente noodles. Only two complaints: a) could use more veg and a little less noodles; b) the so-so piece of tofu pouch that had the texture of packing foam.
Brother loved the soup and onigiri, esp. the umeboshi one.
Service got progressively slower and less attentive as the meal went on. We practically had to beg for our check. But the food was perfect for a cold night.
