Unusual thai veggies for curry ?

I bought some unusual items at the farmer's market (see picture) and I would like some advice on how to use them. I had some difficulty communicating with the woman who was selling them so hoping to get some advice here on how to use them.

2 of the items she called thai eggplant and the third is thai basil ... though it does not smell or look like the thai basil I am accustomed to. I think she may have been using the term basil as a general term for herb. The smaller thai eggplant are little green balls on a woody branch.

She said you can use all of them in a curry and my plan is to just follow a standard recipe using a red curry paste and coconut milk, but I was wondering if there is a better way to do it. I'm also unsure of the ratio of ingredients to use.

Does anyone recognize these items?
