I happened to find myself looking for a pool hall in the Roseville area, which led me to Jimmy's Pro Billiards, in Columbia Heights. (40th Street and Central Ave NE)
It's a nice place to shoot pool - coin tables, 8-foot tables, 9-foot tables, even 10- or 12-foot snooker tables.
But more importantly for this crowd, there is also lots of signage that touts Jimmy's gourmet burgers. So I had to try one of his "best burgers in Columbia Heights." (even if that is an extremely specific boast :-)
I had the "grinder : diced onion, bacon and shredded cheese mixed into your burger. Topped with lettuce, tomato and thousand island dressing."
Wow. It was outstanding. I have no doubt it's the best burger in Columbia Heights. I'd also say it is AT LEAST as good as any other burger I've had around town (which means Smashburger, Five Guys, 5-8 Club... but I admit I haven't been to Matt's or the Nook or the Lion's Tap).
So if you're hungry in that Nordeast neck of the woods - stop by and get a burger!
