Unscientific pizza tasing tour in Croton/Ossining

Went looking with my sister for optimal basic cheese slice on Sunday, 1/29. She's living in Rhode Island and missing NY area pizza. Went to the following pizza emporiums, sharing single slices out of the oven.

Il Forno II: Our favorite of the day - good cheese, great crust, would prefer a brigher tomato taste in the sauce

Francesco and Minas - closed for slices on Sunday around 2pm? I've liked them before.... will include in next pizza parade.

Capriccio II: where we usually buy - seemed heavy in comparison to Forno... maybe we've found a better source?

Antonia's - By far, the worst of the day. One bite and toss it. Yuck...nothing ventured?

Sal's: Good crust, good sauce, less cheesy taste than we like.

Amendola's: 2nd best of the day - a happy slice

Ossining Family Rest and Pizzeria - third runner up, best part of this was discovering the gelateria attached to it, next door. Not exceptional pizza, really good gelato. Took home small cups of chocolate, pistachio, orange and wildberry. A nice new addition to our local food map.

Hope this is helpful to someone - would enjoy additional ideas in Croton/Cortlandt/Ossining drive range.
