Tunisia Good Eats

If you ever get stuck in a Club Med in Tunisia (and no I will not be making that mistake again) get thee to a restaurant/bar in Nabeul called Fadhloune about three blocks from the railway station. Crazy, loud, smoky and excellent grub. I went with one of the locals and we had whole lamb's head which is steamed with spices - out of this world - and mirmiz, a sort of mutton stew with butter beans. Also excellent salads, especially the mechouia. The bill for the food, six beers, two bottles of excellent Tunisian Rose (Jelloud) was 27 Tunisian Dinars or about £13 pounds. Best meal I have had in Africa and a real out of the way chowhound find.
