I couldn't find any other threads on this spot, which is a shame, as it's a real knockout.
You ever go to a place a year after they open and it's so good that you're upset with yourself for waiting that long to have tried it? That's this place.
An absolutely exceptional spot. The burger was one of the best and most interesting I've had in LA ("Light my Fire" with salsa, ghost pepper jam, muenster, crispy onions and chipotle aioli). It was the perfect level of spicy. Their entree salads were also terrific, if you're so inclined. They had a special french onion soup with quail egg and duck that was great as well. All around fantastic food.
Even better was the beer list. A small but great array on draft with a very deep list of bottles, most of them from California. A beer lover's paradise.
It has a great vibe to it. Casual but still chic enough to feel like an appropriate Saturday night date spot.
Finally, the service was great. Perfectly paced service from very friendly and helpful staff. All of them were familiar with the intricacies of their beer and wine list, pointing us toward some great rare selections (a highlight being Ironfire Brewing's 51/50 IPA from Temecula). We closed the night at the bar chatting with an incredibly cool bartender.
I'm very jazzed to have this in the neighborhood. Only one visit and we've already decided it's our new neighborhood spot. Loved it.
