Tuesday evening is No Corkage/ Cheap Skate Cab at $ 12 night.
We gave it a try, bring our own C & C 2004 Pinot Noir. Dinner
was the Bettenave Salad with red & golden beets, argula, baby spinach and chevre.
Very tasty and surprisingly the wine went well.
We both chose the Steak au Piovre with Portobello mushrooms, gorgonzola gratin and fresh grilled asparagus. Done exactly as requested, the cullotte cut was both tender and very flavorful.
Dessert was a prior CH recommendation, the crumble with fresh pears and ginger topped with vanilla ice cream. Served very hot, the ice cream began to melt as we started to dig in. I thought it was great, but could be crustier.
We noted a very attractive Salmon en Papillote at the next table, one of the prix fixe entrees at only $ 19.50 with appitizer and dessert.
