Truffle Menu

Just Larry | Jan 19, 2004 10:01 PM

Had dinner at Joe's in Venice Friday. They had a Truffle Menu for about $55.00. The truffles had amazing aroma and subtle flavor (to me..but they always do). They are very generous with the truffles too. I know that Joe's dropped in quality after it expanded, but they got quite a few talented new faces in the kitchen and are back cooking up a storm. Every dish (and we tried quite a few) was excellent. Lobster, Quail, Gnocci, Potato with Artichoke and Truffle, Venison, Skate Wing, Chocolate Menage a Trois, Pear and Pistachio Crusted Goat Cheese Salad. I am once again a Joe's fan. Only miss of the evening was the Apple Beignet. Prices are still embarassingly low.
