I am hosting a few of my foodie friends for a multi course white truffle tasting menu. We are starting with poached egg/polenta/caviar/truffle, followed by pasta/porcini /Parmesan/ truffle, Scallops/cauliflower puree/truffles, and ending with white truffle ice cream in Parmesan tuille with aged balsamic.
Question is, what,if anything, to have as starter/nibbles with cocktails before the actual tasting? charcuterie? Nuts? Don't want to overwhelm everyone's appetite but feel I should have something. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
