I'm taking my mom to see Light in the Piazza at lincoln center a week from saturday. (it's a great show by the way) Since the play centers around a mother and daughter in Florence, I'm trying to create a sort of italy-themed day for her birthday. I made reservations for Cafe Fiorello, but is there someplace better up there that we should go for dinner before the show? Also, a little off-topic, but anybody have any bright ideas for something italian-style to do with mom during the day? She lives in NJ so the usual nyc touristy stuff is out. thanks for your help!
