Esposito's Deli in Meadowmont is now offering a fairly full Italian dinner menu, featuring all the usual pasta and meat dishes. The food is so-so, but it's very pleasant to sit on the patio in the summer; kids can play in the grassy field while parents eat. Bring a soccer ball or a baseball mitt and you can almost make a picnic of it.
I tried the chicken parm. The chicken was good, not at all dry, but I was not a fan of the pasta sauce. My diagnosis is that they use tomato paste as a quick and cheap thickener instead of letting the sauce gradually cook down. I find that this imparts an unpleasant sweet taste and an unpleasant pastiness. The pasta itself was overcooked, but this is so inevitable these days I simply accept it as the lay of the land.
