“Travel” issues-Food and Wine

ksbee | Apr 23, 202004:49 AM     3

Being stuck at home has me looking forward to the arrival of my food mags even more than normal, so I was happy to see Food and Wine and Bon Appetit arrive within a few days of each other this week. Well, talk about two sides of the coin. Both editors admitted that these issues (Spring Travel) had been done before the crisis but felt that the information was still relevant as we are all stuck at home. Bon Appetit at least changed the cover so it wasn’t so blatant, and many of their articles and recipes were still approachable, doable and informative (the Good Food list that Melanie Wong shared gave me a resource for some of the specialty rices for one of the recipes-can’t wait to get them). I found the Food and Wine issue to-be pretty over the top, with mostly travel abroad to fairly esoteric places, and the recipes were pretty over the top too. I mean “wrapped” lasagna?

Anyways, wondered if anybody else had similar reactions or I am just going out of my mind with cabin fever.
