Tracking down obscure, regional foods & drinks

I've been reading the postings about regional drinks (ginger ale, Moxie's, etc.) and I didn't know if any of you have the book "Food Finds" by the Engel sisters (one of them used to write for The Post).

I've had mine for years & it's a great reference for tracking down unique American foods (incl. candy, beverages, canned fruits/veggies, condiments & desserts) you can't find in this area.

"Food Finds" lists websites and mailing addresses so you can order items through the mail. It's really a helpful book.

I believe the Engel sisters also have a cable show based on their book.

As for the email about funky "municipal" food fests (for Spam, Moxie, etc.), I think there's a website somewhere that lists such major food fests in the US. I'm sorry I can't think of the URL but it MIGHT be foodfestivals.com or something similar. Or do a global search for "food festivals" US...
