Townsend, Hyde Park

A wonderful new restaurant in Hyde Park. Tonight was my fourth visit, after two dinners and Mother's day brunch. The staff is most accomodating, the food fabulous and the ambiance lively. I have food allergies. The chef was most helpful in preparing my Mother's Day brunch from items on the menu. The house smoked tuna was wonderful served on frisee with a vinagrette instead of with the eggs. After 12 noon I was offered a glass of Proseco, which made the day even more festive. On each visit, the owners, Mike and Rosleen, welcomed me and my guests and made every effort to ensure that everything is to our satisfaction. My family and friends have raved about the meals they chose. I have had the opportunity to sample many of the entrees (both my own and "shared" from other's plates). All have been expertly prepared, served by enthusiastic staff. Tonights dessert special was a flight of house made truffles paired with dessert wines. Very creative and delicious! I recommend Townsend unreservedly. Congratulations Mike and Rosleen, you have a great neighborhood eaterie. vickis
