Well, NO really did live up to expectations, once again, even though we tried several places we had not formerly dined at (thanks Chowhounds!). We stayed at a B&B Uptown near St. Charles and Carrollton, so many of our choices were in tha area or convenient by streetcar. Here goes....

ONE (during 5-7 happy hour, drinks and apps half price). Food: A Service & Atmo: A Value: A+. My wife and I togetherhad 4 drinks and 4 apps for under $50 total. All were just great, especially the chargrilled oysters and scallops.

AUGUST ($20.12 lunch) Food: A+ Serv & Dec: A+ Value: A+ Beautiful, fancy and great!

BRIGTSENS: Food: A- Atmo & Svc: B+ Value:B Homey, service a little rushed and main dishes did not come at same time. Duck and Shellfish platter, and banana bread pudding very good.

BOUCHERIE F:B+ Atmo& Svc:B- Value:A- shrimp & grit cake, briskett, duck poorboy just OK

BAYONA F: A A&S: A V:B sweetbreads, scallops, at in beautiful courtyard

DANTE: (brunch) F: A D&SV: B V: A- Poached eggs over debris

UPPERLINE: F: A- D & S: B V: B+ 7 course tasting menu great

COMMANDER"S PALACE: (jazz brunch) A+ SVC: A+ DEC: A- V: A Oyster dome & bread pudding suffle

All in all, a great week and we can't wait to come back again! Thanks again for all the help, CHOWHOUNDS!
