Tommy Toy's?

We are looking for some great Chinese food somewhere near the W, but we are willing to walk a ways or will have a car if needed. Have not decided if we want high end special Chinese or just really great more normal Chinese. Generally prefer to stay away from pure Sichuan places as I am not a huge spice fan.
As a point of reference we like Hing Loon in Seattle for daily dining and Kirin in Vancouver. Also a fan of Shun Lee in NYC.

In SF we enjoyed Dim Sum at Yang Sing, but are looking for a great dinner place.

Tommy Toy's seems like a good option, but I was wondering if it lives up to its older rep or if it is more hype than substance?

Also any ideas for a classic SF seafood place welcome as well. We get a lot of good seafood in Seattle, but are always up for some new great places.

Price not really a concern - will basically take all levels, but prefer places that tend to be not overly loud and have great service as I tend to be very fussy. Thanks for any ideas.
