I ate at Tocqueville last week, and it was quite delicious! Tocqueville is on East 15th ST off Union Square and is affiliated with the Marco Polo takeout/catering shop next door.
The mussell soup was very good, and quite rich. I had the lamb entree which was tasty, though small (although I wasn't hungry for more as I wanted to save some room for dessert). My father had the cod entree which he seemed to enjoy. For dessert, I had the chocolate cake, which was good, although not much different than any of the other molten centered chocolate cakes being served around town. The cake took a long time in coming, so the pastry chef sent out fruit soups for us that were good and very refreshing.
All in all, it was a good dining experience, although it is on the expensive side. The service was warm, and the hostess was very friendly. We did have to wait 20 minutes for our table (with a reservation), so be warned, as they have been flooded with business since they were reviewed favorably in the Times.
