TN: 2007 Trivium Cabernet

Midlife | Feb 16, 201111:47 AM

Tasted this at the shop I work at. The fruit is from the Lewelling Vineyard in St. Helena. At $65 you certainly want this to be a really good wine and it didn't disappoint. Dark ruby color, aromas of dark fruit like blackberries, slight toastiness and hints of chocolate. Very firm in structure but with not-too-cloying tannins in the finish. This is 100% Cabernet, and shows 14.6% alcohol, but is not an overly in-your-face wine. I really enjoyed it.
