TJ's marcona almonds, any way to weed out bitter ones?

emdb | Oct 18, 200411:57 AM     2

I love Trader Joe's marcona almonds, but about every other bag or so, there's a half a dozen or so terribly bitter, soapy tasting almonds that don't seem to look any different than the others. Am I missing some visual cue, like color, or relative oiliness, that might help me to avoid these? I've never run in to this problem with their other almonds or nuts-- it's just the marconas. I don't feel like one to five "bad" almonds per bag is enough for me to take the bag back. Any thoughts?

Thanks.
