Tisane (in the West End) has been in business for a while, but I only recently began to eat "real" meals there, and I'm glad I've started.

The food is really quite delicious, and the menu is varied. Lots of vegetarian-friendly food. The menu is more fusion than cafe, which is good. Last weekend, I had grilled scallops on skewers with onions and tomatos over a coconut-infused rice. My wife had Tofu Kung Pao, which came with beautiful greens and rice. Prices are mid-range (scallop special = $12.95). Service is relaxed (example: we always have to wait a long time to get menus, but the food has been delivered reasonably quickly).

A few other points:
1. The kitchen is open until 11pm (at least on weekends, I think).
2. The place is crowded and makes me happy because it feels like I'm in a more successful city than Hartford.
3. They have Serius (sp?) satellite radio. This would be cool, except I haven't been very excited about the stations they choose.
4. Outdoor seating!
