Tips for defrosting fish?

I would love to hear any and all tips and guidance on defrosting fish.

When I microwave, it seems to defrost unevenly, with some parts remaining cold/frozen while others literally begin to cook. (And that's on VERY low power, with me stopping every 1 - 2 minutes to turn them, in addition to the rotating of the table inside.) Any thoughts, suggestions at all?
